Weidian, Taobao and 1688 links explained
Every product link boils down to two things: which marketplace, and a number. Once you can spot them, no link will confuse you again.
Check QC photos nowThe three marketplaces
| Marketplace | Link looks like | Product ID |
|---|---|---|
| Weidian | weidian.com/item.html?itemID=7614407334 | the number after itemID= |
| Taobao / Tmall | item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=702811947286 | the number after id= |
| 1688 | detail.1688.com/offer/671733657941.html | the number after /offer/ |
Everything else in a link - tracking codes, spm=, share_from= - can be ignored. Two links with the same marketplace and number are the same product.
How agent links wrap them
Agents don't sell anything themselves; their product pages are a window onto the marketplace listing. So their links contain it, in one of three ways:
- The whole link inside: Kakobuy, Superbuy and AllChinaBuy put the marketplace link in
url=. - Marketplace + ID as parameters: CNFans and Mulebuy use
platform=WEIDIAN&id=…, ACBuy usessource=WD&id=…. - In the path: Hipobuy and Oopbuy use
/product/weidian/7614407334.
That's why the QC checker doesn't need you to convert links: it reads the product from whichever agent link you paste. The agent pages show the exact format for each agent.
Links that don't work
- Short links (a few random letters on an unfamiliar domain): open them in the browser and copy the link you land on.
- Shop links (
weidian.com/?userid=…,shop123.taobao.com): these are the seller, not a product. - Search and category pages: open one product first.
- Spreadsheet redirects: open them, let them land on the agent or marketplace, then copy that.
